Meet the milliner
I have loved fashion and style for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a little village in the ’70s I would spend hours looking out the window at the style heading to the weekend dinner dances in the hotel across the road. My mother used to make her outfits for the special occasions she attended annually with my Dad, and often took part in the Make & Model competitiions organised by the I.C.A.
I began my teaching career at age 20 but was always dabbling in some form of creative work in the background. It wasn’t until my mid-forties that I started on my millinery journey. I had attended a few race meetings and just adored all the style at Ladies Day. Of course I was totally in awe of the all the fabulous hats. Shortly after I attended my first millinery course in Westport and was hooked. Since then I have completed numerous millinery classes, face to face and online with milliners from all over the world.
Hats and Style
Making hats became a passionate hobby and of course attending ladies’ days at the races was a great opportunity to wear them. It was only when the spare room was starting to fill up with my creations, I decided to display some on social media. Having qualified as a colour and image consultant just before lockdown, I decided in 2021 to combine my passion for creating hats and accessories with my love of the colour and style world. By doing what I love and enjoy, I am delighted to be able to help women who may feel overwhelmed, at the thought of putting a whole occasion outfit together, look stylishly fabulous. In my new style programme, you learn about your best colours, shapes and styles, so that you can look forward to your upcoming event.
As well as a ready to wear collection, I offer a bespoke service, so if you have an idea or need advice drop me an email to book a consultation.
I will help you select the right shape and style to suit your face shape and complete your outfit. We will also discuss colours and shades to complement your skin tone so that you feel confident and elegant for your special occasion.
To ensure you have your headpiece in time for your special occasion, it is important to plan ahead to avoid disappointment. Sourcing of materials and designing and creating your piece could take up to six weeks.

The recent pandemic and climate change has highlighted the need for all of us to move towards a more sustainable lifestyle. I am consciously using more sustainable fabrics, recycled and biodegradable materials in my designs.
for us all to do our part.
This green and cream dior style hat is made from buntal straw, a natural fiber extracted from buri palms and woven into mats in the Phillippines. It is one of my favourite materials to work with. I have also used some vintage beads for embellishment.
Hats at the Races
My headpieces have featured in many Best Dressed Finals at race meetings around Ireland, Best Dressed Person at the Curragh 2019, Best Hat at Galway Races 2018, Most Iconic Lady Listowel 2018, and many top tens at various meetings.
Whether you prefer a dramatic or classic look, you may find some inspiration from my collections.
